Our names are DJ Blaha and Gary Gabel so we are Managers of the latest Restaurant Opens for Yard House. While we have a significant long title, in addition, it perfectly explains whatever we do.
Both of us started our careers with Yard House as hourly Team Members, enjoyed what we should did and eventually started to work on the road as Travel Trainers to spread the teachings of Yard House. Through the years, Yard House has provided us the ability to develop and grow. Basically we experienced several other positions before we landed here (DJ became Assistant General Manager of Las Vegas Town Square and Gary, Beverage Supervisor), our true passion came calling again whenever a spot opened inside the training world, titled Manager of New Restaurant Opens.
Just what exactly do we do? We travel across the country assisting our Operation teams in opening new restaurants, from planning deliveries to executing training with sometimes up to 200 new team members. During an open, our new staff learn our culture, standards and extensive menu in a classroom setting, assisted by their managers and traveling trainers. Traveling Trainers muanml incredibly talented individuals that exemplify whatever we do as being a company and that we have witnessed a lot of them flourish personally and professionally in each open, to management positions and beyond like ourselves.
We take pride in being an integral part of growing our brand. This may not be just work, but a passion for us. We have now been lucky enough to have combined took part in yard house holiday hours over the years. Being able to see a small group of people turn into a team and ultimately a family, is a reasonably rewarding experience. We look forward to evolving the process and opening many, many more new restaurants for Yard House!
